Description:

ZHS: Marching band activities in the fall, including band camp in late July/early August. Performances at ZHS football games and OMEA-sanctioned competitions as entered. Also participate in local parades. Non-marching band students rehearse as a concert band during the fall, as does the Blue Knights jazz ensemble. Remainder of the year includes the Wind Ensemble (full-size band earned through auditions), the Concert Band, and the Blue Knights. Concerts performed at various times throughout the year. Band members also participate in OMEA-sanctioned solo & ensemble contests, and selected members participate in the annual district and East Central Ohio League honors bands.

ZMS: Bands for grades 7 & 8. Regularly scheduled concerts. Occasional marching participation. Students may also participate in OMEA-sanctioned solo & ensemble contests, and selected members participate in the annual district honors band.

ELEMENTARY: Instrumental instruction begins in Grade 5 and includes concert participation in grades 5 & 6.
