Can my child work on assignments during non-traditional school times?

Yes & No.

There will be times throughout the week that lessons will be self-directed and can be completed at any time of the day, evening, or on the weekends. There will also be times where the teacher will direct students to meet for a synchronized lesson (remotely or in-person) and the student will need to be available to attend those lessons at a specifically set time during the regular school day. On average, students should spend approximately 5.5 hours per school day on his/her assignments that would include independent study, remote synchronized lessons, and in-person lessons. Students who anticipate accelerating their assignments would need to increase that time commitment.
