Can my child take advanced placement or gifted classes through the Blended Learning Option?
No.
For the 2021-22 school year, Advanced Placement or gifted classes will not be offered in the Blended Learning Option. However, a student does have the opportunity to move through the curriculum at his/her own pace, providing them the opportunity to advance more than one school year in the curriculum during the length of a normal school year. In addition, students will have the opportunity to “test out” of courses or sections of the curriculum based upon his/her ability. High school level students still have the opportunity to utilize “Flex Credit/Educational Options” provisions to supplement their traditional courses. High school level students who have qualified for and have been accepted into College Credit Plus (CCP) courses can participate in the Blended Learning Option program.
