The Zanesville City Schools will register students for Kindergarten starting March 20-31, 2023. Children who will be five years old on or before August 1, 2023, are eligible to register for Kindergarten. Register by going to the Zanesville City Schools’ website (zanesville.k12.oh.us) and choose Kindergarten Registration 2023-2024 under the PARENTS drop down menu. Then click the Kindergarten Registration link and follow the prompts. Once the online registration is complete, you will receive a phone call from our District Registrar, Erica Van Kirk, to schedule a time to bring in required registration documents. Registration documents include registered birth certificate obtained from the Health Department, immunization records, custody papers (if applicable) and proof of residency (current utility bill, pay stub, lease agreement, etc.). Ohio law requires that all students admitted for initial entry to school present written evidence that they have received — or are in the process of receiving — immunization against poliomyelitis (OPV); diphtheria - pertussis - tetanus (DTAP); measles, mumps, rubella (MMR); Hepatitis B; and Varicella. Children are required to have 5 DTAP, 4 Polio, 2 MMR, 3 Hepatitis B, and 2 Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccinations before school starts.
