One (1) teacher at each school to coordinate dates and times for high school mentors to work with elementary after-school students, utilizing The Barbara Bush Teen Trendsetter model. The Site Coordinator will involve staff, parents, mentors and students in understanding the program, and coordinate training opportunities for student mentors who will be receiving flex credit for their participation. Site Coordinators will also institute a train-the-trainer model for mentors to use Study Island, Reading Eggs, and Education City with elementary students.
Program operates 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. each scheduled day.
First day of this program is early to mid-October 2017.
The Site Coordinator stipend is $1,000 for the 2017-2018 school year.
Preference will be given to staff in each building who are currently employed in the 21st Century After-School Program in that building for the 2017-2018 school year.
