Devils' Details
'FĂștbol Friday Night' is Aug. 18th
More than $5,000 in cash prizes and fun games for kids will be part of the season-opening boys-and-girls soccer opening night on Friday, August 18th, in Sulsberger Stadium. 'Fútbol Friday Night' begins at 5 p.m. with kids games, followed by kickoff of the boys match at 6 between the Blue Devils and Bishop Rosecrans. The Lady Devils will take on the Lady Bishops starting at 8. There will be a silent auction, a cash prize drawing every five minutes, kids shoot-outs during the halftimes, and a $5,000 cash drawing to end the night. Winners do not need to be present to win cash. The $25 cash drawing tickets are available for purchase from any soccer member or participating merchant. Proceeds benefit the Zanesville Soccer Booster Association.

Blood Drive on August 2nd!
We will host a Red Cross Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2nd, in Winland Gymnasium! Our goal is 100 units for the 100 years of the Red Cross. To book a time, call 1-800-REDCROSS or visit redcrossblood.org, and be sure to use the sponsor code ZHS. Give blood. Help save lives. 
Code of Conduct meeting 8/2
The first Code of Conduct meeting for the 2017-18 school year is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 2nd, in Winland Memorial Gymnasium at ZHS. This meeting is mandatory for all ZHS and ZMS fall sports athletes and their parents. It is optional for any ZHS or ZMS winter or spring sports athletes and their parents, but it is highly advised to attend this first meeting to satisfy your annual requirement for the new school year. Football officiating class set
ZHS will host an OHSAA football officiating class from July 31st through August 6th. Classes will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $85. To register, go to the OHSAA officials site and create an account. Then select the sport (football), then select a class (search for title "Football in Zanesville," or instructor "Gene Bess"). For more information, contact Mr. Bess via e-mail. 
PAV workshops set
Coaches who need to complete their Pupil Activities Validation (new or renewal) can do so on the following dates: August 13, 2017; November 5, 2017; and March 4, 2018. The Sunday afternoon workshop will be conducted from 1 to 3 p.m. at Maysville High School, with the PAV from 1 to 3 p.m. Cost is $30 for each session. Pre-registration is not necessary. CPR/AED certification will be offered on other dates, to be announced.
