News from Zanesville City Schools

Required vaccines administered April 25th

ATTENTION ANY 6TH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
If your student has not received the required shots for admission to the 7th grade, there is an upcoming opportunity for your child to receive them while at school! In cooperation between the Zanesville City Schools Heath Services and the Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department, the Ohio Revised Code-required vaccines will be offered on April 25th at our three elementary buildings. Your child will be bringing the information home the week of April 15th. Please complete the forms and return them to school. These vaccines will meet the requirements for 7th grade entrance.

Event to honor '70 alumnus will benefit JROTC

Zanesville City Schools and the Zanesville Alumni Association will honor Class of 1970 alumnus Vice Adm. Albert "Bert" Calland III (ret.) at a special event Friday, May 24th, in Winland Gymnasium. Proceeds will benefit the JROTC program at ZHS. For full details about this special event, click here. For more about the life and decorated Navy career of Adm. Student Wellness Committee

The Zanesville City School District is looking for interested parents and/or community leaders who would be interested in becoming a member of the district Student Wellness Committee. The committee meets four times a year – March, August, October, and December – to review the policy. The purpose of the policy is to make sure our students are being well taken care of in regard to regular physical activity and good nutrition. We want our students to be the best they can be. If you are interested in becoming a part of this endeavor, please contact Bev Guinsler at Zanesville Middle School (740-453-0711) or Vicki Wheeler at the administration office (740-454-9751).
