Athletes reminded of GPA eligibility requirements!
We are into our fourth and final grading period of the 2016-17 school year. If you're an athlete, it is critical you remember that your eligibility for fall sports is dependent on your academic success this spring. Athletes at ZHS must pass at least 5 credits, and athletes at ZMS must pass at least 5 classes. Also, athletes must also maintain the following grade-point averages for this grading period to be eligible in the fall, as mandated by our Board of Education:
Moving from
7th to 8th
Moving from
8th to 9th
Moving from
9th to 10th
All 11th & 12th2.00
If you have any questions regarding this, please be sure to visit with your guidance counselor to make sure you are on track. The responsibility is ultimately YOURS.
Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville will offer FREE OHSAA-approved physicals to our student-athletes on Saturday, May 6th, at their offices on Bell Street. Zanesville has the 8 a.m. time slot, and it will be for all student-athletes entering grades 7-12. This is a great way to satisfy the annual physical requirement and will be good for the entire 2017-18 school year. Further information forthcoming!
